Discussion Topic:

Lessons in Maximizing Consumer Engagement

In days of yore, those requiring medical advice, treatment, and drugs were called patients. Today, increasingly people who visit the doctor, hospital, pharmacy, or a broad range of other medical services are called consumers.

During our Group Discussion, we’ll hear your ideas about what differentiates a “patient” from a “consumer,” and if – and how – you’re changing the way you market, treat, and interact with your healthcare consumers directly, or indirectly – if you’re providing talent, technologies or systems, to them behind the scenes.

For example, what approaches and/or technologies are you using with your healthcare consumers (or seeing used effectively) to…

  • Stay better connected with them
    • During their treatments
    • Between and following encounters
  • Connect with potential healthcare consumers online
  • Partner with them in their health care planning and decision making

Featured Guest Member Presenter:

Dean Hovey, President and CEO of Comprendo

Dean will share some of the lessons he’s learned developing products with Steve Jobs, in the consumer products arena at Plantronics, and, most recently, creating engaging health and well-being solutions for both healthcare systems and major employers.
